When leaving Malaga Airport follow the signs to Algeciras A7 / AP7. Once on the A7 / AP7, a few kilometer after you pass Benalmádena, there is a bifurcation to take the AP7 (the toll road) or the A7.
Remember NOT TO TAKE the Highway AP7, it only saves you a couple of minutes, keep always on the right side of the road in order to continue on the A7. The A7 is the country road that runs along the coast. Not only is it toll-free, it also has beautiful views of the sea and mountains along the way (the highway AP 7 runs through the mountains in the Andalusian outback).
If you follow by mistake the N-340 to Torremolinus, you will drive along the coast on the town road. At the end of the N-340 you will get back on the A7 in the direction of Algeciras/Marbella. After the intersection, the N-340 merges seamlessly into the A7 and henceforth bears the dual designation A7 / N-340. Therefore, the detour is not a problem in principle, but it takes longer.
Drive always along the A7 / N-340 through Fuengirola, El Faro, Cala de Mijas, Calahonda, Elviria, El Rosario (see the map below).
Pass the Hospital Costa del Sol, which is on the right side of the road (on the roof of the sand-colored building is written "HOSPITAL" in green capital letters).
Take the next EXIT indicated as ALTOS DE MARBELLA (km 186) (see the map below).
(a) At the first roundabout, turn left onto the road "Calle Bogey". You leave the supermarket (ALDI) on the right. And then always follow the road "Carill del General" - up the mountain. Later the street becomes "Carretera de Lomas de Marbella".
From there, just follow the sign SAMARA Luxury Resort.
Please note that at the crossroads, which is about 600 m before SAMARA Resort, you have to turn right onto the road "Calle Retama".
On the corner is a white house with the lettering E-17 on it. It's a bit steeper here. Unfortunately, there is no information sign about SAMARA here. - Please be careful that you turn right here. -
If you do not turn right, you will come to the resort "Los Monteros Hill Club" on the right-hand side for approx. 500 m. In this case you have to drive back. You have to turn around and go back to the road "Calle Retama" to get to Samara Resort.
If you are on the road "Calle Retama" again, then follow the other signs to Samara Resort and you will quickly arrive at your destination Andalusia Sunshine apartment.
Please be careful with Google Maps
If you enter the address "Calle El Pinar, 29603 Marbella" on Google Maps or some other navigation system, you will be misdirected. This will not take you to the best exit at Km 184, Los Altos de Marbella. In this case you will pass the Hospital Costa del Sol. This requires a detour of several kilometers. Unfortunately, Google Maps does not yet know the bridge of the street "Carril del General" over the highway AP 7.

In case the link above doesn't work, please proceed as follows. Please enter the following destination address in your navigation system:

Then you are already down the mountain (Altos Los Monteros de Marbella). Your location is then already near the ALDI supermarket. From here you are 4 km and 7 minutes by car away from Samara Resort. Please follow the instruction above (a).
From here continue without GPS and follow the signs to Samara Resort.
You first drive up the mountain on the road "Carril del General". Later the street becomes "Carretera de Lomas de Marbella". Follow the signs. Only be careful at the crossroad, where the white house with the large house number E-17 is, turn here sharp right up the street "Calle Retama". After a few 100 meters you are at the Samara Luxury Resort. That's it (see for the last mile the detailed description above).
